Downtown Traverse City is a great place to explore on your weekend up north! Front Street downtown is filled with great boutique shops and restaurants and the view of the bay from the downtown walkway is a must visit!

Traverse City is known for being Michigan's wine destination! There are plenty of great wineries to visit on both peninsulas. Wine tours are available for booking through Magic Shuttle Bus Tours, Grand Traverse Tours, or several other booking companies online. You can also stop in and visit a winery or two on your own if you prefer not to take a tour. Some of Marco and Erin's favorites are French Valley Vineyard in Cedar, Brys Estate on Old Mission Peninsula, Shady Lane Cellars in Suttons Bay, Bel Lago Vineyards and Winery in Cedar, Rove Estate in Traverse City, and Mari Vineyards in Traverse City.

Lake Ann Brewing Company is one of Marco and Erin's favorite places! With great outdoor seating and live music every night this place is always busy. We recommend ordering a pizza from stone oven next door and enjoying a great craft beer or mead! Our favorites are the Jungle Fungus IPA and the Exerciser Mead.

Hop Lot Brewing Company in Suttons Bay is a Northern Michigan gem! Their outdoor beer garden is always a fun time. Some of our menu favorites are the West Coast IPA paired with the smoked buffalo wings.

We love Fishtown, another hidden gem of Northern Michigan. Taking a walk around the small shanty shops and visiting the Village Cheese Shanty is a must! Get there early to get in line for a sandwich, they're well worth it - Marco recommends the Shipwreck sandwich on pretzel bread and Erin recommends the South Shore on pretzel bread, add on brie cheese for some extra flavor! It's no secret Marco's favorite thing to do any place we go is GOLF! So of course, over our visits to Traverse City Marco has scoped out his favorite courses in the area. Marco recommends Interlochen Golf Course, The Crown Golf Club, and all three courses at Grand Traverse Resort.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is about a 40 minute drive from Grawn, and a great option for scenic views of Lake Michigan. Try out the scenic drive in the national park or visit Empire Beach, one of our favorite beaches in Michigan.
