Q + A

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Both will be held at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort (15870 Co Rd 162, Nathrop, CO 81236). The outside ceremony will be taking place in The Meadow and Reception will be held a short walk (2 min) away at The Pavilion. Please see the map below for where they are located within the resort.

How far is the Venue from Denver International Airport?

Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort is approximately 2.5 hours drive time from DIA.

Is there a dress code?

We’d love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting cocktail /semi-formal attire for our wedding. There is a short walk from the ceremony to the reception location, so ladies plan accordingly for your footwear.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation was addressed to you and a guest, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Can we bring our children?

Due to venue limitations, we respectfully request that you only bring children that are included on your invitations. Only family-related children will be present at the wedding - we encourage you to think of our wedding as a date night (or weekend) away from the kids!

I have a dietary restriction, will there be food for me?

We will have both meat and vegetarian options to choose from at dinner. When you RSVP, please indicate your specific dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly.

Can I take pictures during the Ceremony?

We are having an “unplugged ceremony” (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say “I do”. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share photos as soon as we receive them. Afterwards, snap away!

What will the weather be like?

August is an ideal month in Colorado with sunny weather almost every day. Colorado tends to have a wide swing between high and low temperatures; while the average daily temperature in August is around 79°, evenings cool down quite a lot, with an average of 47°. We recommend layers!

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

As we are encouraging guests to stay on-site, we will not be providing transportation to or from the venue. While Uber and Lyft are an option, it should be noted that the resort is in a remote location so driver availability will be limited. We recommend arranging to have a Designated Driver ahead of time if you will not be staying on-site.

Where should I stay for the weekend?

We highly encourage our guests to stay on-site at the resort to take full advantage of everything our venue has to offer. We recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible as our discounted room block opens to the public May 16, 2024. For more information on booking your stay, or to view additional accommodation options, please see the Accommodation tab.

I’m staying on-site, will there be food/beverage available after the wedding?

While Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort has incredible food/beverage options during the day, please note that the Princeton Market closes at 6pm and the Mary Murphy Steakhouse closes at 9pm. This means there will be no available food/beverage service available after our wedding ends. Please plan accordingly if you will want late night munchies. The closest town, Buena Vista, is 15 minutes away.

How do I RSVP?

Click the RSVP tab! We ask that you kindly RSVP by June 23rd, 2024.

Will there be an open bar at the wedding?

Yes! Please remember our wedding is taking place at 8,250 feet above sea level. One drink at this high of elevation = two drinks at sea level. We encourage you to drink more water than you usually would, space out your drinks, and please have a designated driver if you are not staying on-site.
