okay, so it wasn't all bad. while quarantined in florida and new jersey, nate and erin met online after realizing they had one very important thing in common: exploring the wilderness. both erin and nate spent time as conservation education presenters at disney's animal kingdom theme park. after bonding over their love for conservation, disney movies, and the song "ribs" by lorde at a distance, they dated for a month in person.

nate had planned to get his masters degree in canada, and erin had dreams to chase in orlando, so they parted ways at the end of summer. a classic case of "right person wrong time."

fast forward 3 years... nate graduated with his MS in environmental science and erin made her dreams come true in florida. in march 2023, nate and erin's paths crossed again when they both moved to the denver, colorado area. it took less than a month for them to pick up where they left off, stronger than ever.

now they live in a townhome overlooking the mountains with their sweet rescue cat, ivy. they love cooking dinner while listening to their vinyl record collection, watching survivor on wednesdays, and exploring the wilderness together whenever they can. "caw caw. ROAR."
