There are many wonderful things to do in Kerry and Ireland more broadly. Here are some suggestions of sites and experiences to enhance your Irish adventure.
The Ring of Kerry is a local drive that shows off the beautiful vistas, lakes, and castles nearby Killarney. Tours like these can be short, part of the day excursions or extended and shouldn't be missed while staying in the area.
The Cliffs of Moher are beautiful cliffs with awe inspiring oceanic views. They aren't too far from Kerry and are a world reknowned tourist destination in Ireland. There are many, many, wonderful castles and historical sites located throughout Ireland. The Blarney Castle near Cork City is the site of the Blarney Stone and not too far from Kerry. There are numerous other wonderful historical sites closer to Killarney or Dublin worth visiting as well. Newgrange is a beautiful world heritage site older than the pyramids in Egypt. Cork City (where Erin & Daniel met) or Galway City are bustling urban locales with great restaurants and shops. The Aran Islands are beautiful, rural, and wool filled and just a ferry trip away.
