Erin & Devin's Love Story

Erin and Devin met by chance through a friend in college back in 2009! They were young, wild, and always down for a good time. They had fun together, but their lives would go separate ways for a while. Devin always said he knew their paths would cross again. Devin would continue to study architecture at UW Milwaukee until he completed his degree! Erin left Milwaukee and moved to Madison where she ultimately landed on the Big Island of Hawaii for a WWOOF program. (She lived and worked on a farm!)They would keep in touch occasionally!

2009, Milwaukee WI

In 2014, five years later, they reconnected again! Devin lived in Wisconsin Dells and worked at an architecture firm designing water park resorts. Erin lived in Madison and worked at a brewery. Inspired by her time in Hawaii, she decided to also go back to school for horticulture. They started off as friends again but it quickly turned into a long-distance relationship throughout 2015. Erin went through a very difficult time after she lost her Dad and their schedules made things hard, but they kept trying to make it work. They did go out on many fun dates and made the most of the time we were able to spend together.

2014-2015 Reconnected 

A lot happened over these years! Devin made the move to Madison in 2016 and they rented their first apartment together. Erin finished her Horticulture degree at UW Madison-- just as the pandemic hit and the world as we know it stopped. She started her career at Warm Belly Farm and focused on fruit crops. Devin gained experience in his field and made some big career moves. They did a lot traveling, adventuring, and growing up together during this time.

2016-2020 Growing Together

In 2021, they decided to put down some roots and they bought their first home in Madison! This was a huge life move for them. They went straight to work to make it their own. They did a lot of cosmetic upgrades on the interior and started some landscaping projects on the exterior over the next couple of years. As much as they love having a home-base, they also continue to work hard in their careers so they can travel and experience the world!

2021-2022, A Home!

June 17, 2023: They finally got engaged!! Devin planned the most perfect and elaborate proposal on his friend Justin's sailboat in Milwaukee on Lake Michigan! (Thank you Justin!) This brought their relationship full circle since they met in Milwaukee all those years ago! In July 2023, they had a nice engagement party in their backyard with family and friends because they knew they were planning for a long engagement. Devin also became a licensed architect!! Erin is so proud of him! They had a lot to celebrate!

2023: They’re engaged!

They’ve given themselves plenty of time to plan the wedding. After a decade together already, they didnt see any reason to rush. They want to enjoy the fiancée chapter too! In 2024, they had the privilege of traveling abroad together to the Netherlands and many other smaller fun trips. They feel so grateful for their family, their friends, their home, and all of their adventures together. Erin and Devin truly cant wait to celebrate their marriage with you all on September 13, 2025! Thank you for being part of their story!

While we chose this hotel block for its proximity to our venue many other accommodations in the Wisconsin Dells area may fit your budget or preference! We have a room block for Friday &amp; Saturday nights (Sept 12-14) for those who want to make it a weekend of fun and celebration! Wedding festivities on Saturday, September 13th. There are two room types on the reservation block:1) Double Queen standard room $179.99/night2) 2 bedroom condo (1500 sq ft), 1 king, 2 queens, and a pull out $349.99/night*There is a resort amenity fee of $29.99/room per day**Limited number of king rooms available upon request

Our room block is located at Chula Vista and there are many onsite activities and amenities! Chula Vista offers: an indoor and outdoor waterpark, a river walk, sand volleyball, an 18-hole golf course, shuffleboard, ziplining, mini golf, and several dining and bar options on site! Check out their website for details.

Ishnala is one of our favorite places in the Dells! It's a classic supper club located in Mirror Lake State Park with Frank Sinatra vibes. It's a whole experience! Expect there to be a wait and get there as early as possible since its first come first serve. You can order appetizers and drinks while you wait for your table. There are several onsite bars both indoors and outside on the beach.

Another classic Wisconsin Supper Club! This one resembles a Frank Llyod Wright architectural style. They have good food and do accept reservations.

The Del-Bar

The Grateful shed is super casual and fun! They offer an array of indoor food trucks, a bar, and music.
