It all began at the Melmed Center, where Erinn worked alongside her mom, Michel. Among her coworkers was Jenna—Jared’s younger sister—and later, Jenna’s mom, Patty, joined the team as well. Erinn was friendly with everyone, but didn’t know them that well…yet.
Then came 2.2.22—a date Erinn had always imagined as her wedding day. While stopping by the front office, she jokingly announced, “This was supposed to be my wedding day!” Patty turned around and quipped, “Well, I have a son at home! Wanna meet him?” Erinn, half-joking but intrigued, replied, “Yeah, why not.” She loved the idea of meeting someone organically rather than swiping through apps.
Patty went home that night certain there was no way she could convince her “caveman” son to meet one of her coworkers. Meanwhile, Erinn ran to Michel, giddy, saying she was going to meet Patty’s son. But to Patty’s shock—Jared said yes!
Back at work, Patty told Erinn the good news—but with Jared’s three “stipulations”:
Group setting
No texting beforehand
No pictures in advance
A group date was planned, and since Erinn felt a little odd about meeting Jared’s entire family right away, she invited her best friend Tia and Tia’s husband, Brian. In the weeks before the date, Erinn got to know Patty and Jenna better over happy hours. By the time February 19th arrived, she was excited.
The big group went axe throwing, and everyone had an amazing time. Later that night at the bar, Erinn asked Jared for his phone, entered her number, and handed it back. When Jared walked her to her car, they hugged, he said “text me,” and they never stopped talking after that.
Knowing how much 2.2 meant to her, Jared asked Erinn on their first official date on 2.22.22.
Fast-forward: On 12.15.24, they welcomed their first child, Joshua. Now, on their four-year anniversary, 2.22.26, they will celebrate their vows, their love, and the beautiful life they’ve built together.
