Please arrive at the Thayer Hotel around 1200 hours on Saturday. Parking is located across the street from the hotel (follow the signs) or you may take advantage of valet parking.

Non-military visitors have been registered with the base, and anyone over 18 will need to show the ID you gave us to get onto the base (but not into the Thayer, the hotel is not directly on the base).

If you are driving in on Saturday morning, please allow that there may be delays at the gate, as this is an operational military base and a university. You will need to show driver’s ID at the first gate, and ID for all passengers over 18 at the second gate (if you are driving to the Chapel)

We have arranged transportation for our guests from the Thayer to the Chapel and back. The buses will leave the Thayer at 1230.

Parking at the Chapel is extremely limited, so we are saving those places for our guests and family with limited mobility. If you are unable to use the arranged transportation, please be sure to show the IDs you registered with us for all passengers over 18 years old.

While we have provided your license/passport information to West Point in order to secure your access to the base, we encourage you to have that information on your person while on the base, just in case.

Timeline of Events:

1230: Guests will take a shuttle from the Thayer Hotel to the Chapel

1300 – 1400: Wedding Ceremony at the Most Holy Trinity Chapel on West Point Base

1400: Guests will take the shuttle back to the Thayer Hotel for the Cocktail Hour while the family remains for photos

**Those who are checking into the hotel for Saturday night will have the opportunity to do so before the Cocktail Hour

1500: Cocktail Hour in the Bradley Room

1600 – 2000: Reception in the Grant Ballroom

Parking at the Most Holy Trinity Chapel on West Point

There are 14 regular parking spaces and two handicapped spaces. There is a parking lot adjacent to the chapel that you may also use. You may also park down the side of the road opposite the private residences or at the top of Merritt Hill. You may also park in the Arvin Gym parking lot, which is across Stony Lonesome Road from the chapel.

Be aware that there are two private residences adjacent to the chapel. Do not park in the spots between the residences or in the coned off area between the striped lines. Do not block residents’ garages. Do not park down the hill on Buckner Hill Road (no parking signs are posted along this hill).

Please drive safely and obey the posted speed limit!
