How We Met

Picture of How We Met

I met giselle as a guest at her job, "Level 257" a restaurant with an arcade and bowling inside. My friends and I went in just after 10:00 pm, an hour before closing. She was closing up her shift, trying to go to a party nearby. Her last table had just left, and my friends and I came in and sat down. Giselle was furious as she wanted to leave after a long day at work, with having plans afterward. She tried selling our table to coworkers. Offering $20, $30, at some points offering $50. No one would take the table, so she sucked it up and attended our table.

Giselle was never rude or showed an upset presence with us. She was very respectful and nice during our stay with her... Although she did mess up one of the orders with giving us sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. By the end of our dinner, Giselle provided us with free game cards to play at the indoor arcade room. We were all inshock and happy with her kind gesture. Before we left, I wrote on my receipt, "Add me on snapchat .. Z1_Gizmo :)"

20 minutes later, I got a notification on snapchat saying, "Giselle has added you as a friend" I played it hard to get or the "cool guy" and didn't add her back till an hour later once we were driving back home. I wanted to add her back, but I didn't want to scare her away by showing too much attention. Once we started talking, I couldn't resist waiting. I stopped playing "the cool guy," and we talked all night. Giselle ended up skipping her party, and we talked till 4:00 am. Nonstop texting. This habit continued for a couple of days. At times, I would hear the birds chirping outside. We will scramble to get some sleep as we both always work in the mornings.

I fell for Giselle fast... I don't regret it for the tiniest moment. ~Eris

The Blessings

Eris: The proposal was quite scary on my end when it came to asking for the blessings from giselle's family. I have to learn a Spanish script (I DONT KNOW SPANISH) to speak in her parents native language as they don't speak nor understand much English. It was nerve-racking speaking a language for an important moment I did not want to screw up. I practiced the same script for 4 months, rehearsing any chance I got. Once the day came. Turns out I did better than expected. I wasn't fluent 💯, but they understood me perfectly! I got the blessings from her father, mother, and grandmother all the same day.
