The first time they met was outside of Sullivan Hall at NC State freshman year. As Esha was headed out to grab some lunch before her next class, she saw her brother and Ezra coming back from lunch to work on some homework together. Ezra was shocked that her brother had a twin and was really excited to meet her. On the other hand, Esha initially thought Ezra was weird as he circled around her. After this encounter, neither of them would have guessed that they would be dating later on.

As sophomore year started, Esha and Ezra found that they would be spending more time together as they were living in the same apartment complex and had a class together (shoutout material science). From studying and doing homework together, they became really good friends.

Towards the beginning of November, Ezra takes Esha out to the Renaissance Festival in Charlotte and asks her out and she says yes! This was the start of their relationship which would eventually lead to marriage!
