Our Wedding

In November 2019, we met through a mutual friend and quickly found ourselves spending more time together within the same friend group. What started as casual hangouts soon became something more, as we both began to notice a special connection forming.

2019

In 2020, we officially became a couple—right in the middle of the COVID-19 chaos! While the world was on pause, we were busy getting to know each other, binge-watching shows, sharing too many snacks, and finding creative ways to hang out safely. Even in a year of lockdowns and uncertainty, our connection grew stronger, and we learned that we could make anything fun as long as we were together.

2020

Along the way, Ava, his adorable dog, became a huge part of their lives. Even though Esme is more a cat person, it didn’t take long for Ava to win her over with her charm! From walks to cuddles, loving Ava has been one of the sweetest parts of their journey together.Forever in our hearts September 2014 - June 2026

The moment we had all been waiting for—mostly Esme—finally came in April 2025. What I thought would be a simple Easter Sunday with family turned into an unforgettable engagement celebration! Surrounded by loved ones, he popped the question, and of course she said yes. It was such a perfect, joyful, and slightly surprising day, and from that moment on, we knew we were ready to take the next big step in our adventure together.

And here we are in 2026—our wedding year! Between picking flowers, tasting cake, and trying not to get overwhelmed by all the planning, we’re having a blast getting everything ready. Every little detail brings us closer to the big day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our family, friends, and everyone who’s been part of our journey. It’s going to be full of love, laughter, and memories with the people who mean the most to us.

The Sauder Village Heritage Inn is a country lodge nestled in
northwest Ohio - an easy drive from Toledo. With the warm
hospitality of a cozy inn and the full-service amenities of a
hotel - it is the ideal destination whether you re travelling
for family business or a relaxing getaway.
Highlights - Guest rooms from queen/queen - king rooms and
suites are set within a timber-frame lodge environment -
complete with natural wood accents - hand-forged lighting and a
welcoming fireplace in the lobby. Rooms include free WiFi -
modern furnishings and easy access to amenities - including an
indoor pool with waterfall feature - hot tub - game room and
exercise facilities. The Inn is ideal for families - small
groups - weddings and business retreats. Meeting rooms and
event spaces are available for receptions - banquets and
conferences. Complimentary breakfast is offered daily featuring
freshly baked goods from the on-site Doughbox Bakery. Also
located within the grounds is the Barn Restaurant  - serving
lunch and dinner buffets in a restored 19th century barn  - and
the Historic Village - open seasonally - a living-history
attraction with historic buildings - artisan demonstrations -
farm animals and more - all within walking distance of the Inn.
Overnight accommodations are also available at the on-site
Sauder Village Campground.
Location and access  - Situated at 22611 State Route 2 in
Archbold - the Inn is an easy drive from Toledo - Wauseon -
Bryan and surrounding towns. Its position within the Sauder
Village complex means you get the serenity of a rural setting
combined with the family-friendly attractions of the museum -
tasty dining options and more.
Good to know  - Non-smoking property - Cancellation Policy is
24 hours prior to check-in - Pets are not allowed at the Inn -
Assistance animals are permitted. Children under 18 stay free
with parent.

The hotel provides an indoor pool, hot tub and a 24-hour front desk. Toledo Express Airport is 21 miles away.

Located in Wauseon, Tru By Hilton Wauseon is 28 miles from South Toledo Golf Club. This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. All rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. The rooms at Tru By Hilton Wauseon have air conditioning and a desk. Toledo Express Airport is 21 miles from the property.
