How Did We Meet?

As is common to many couples in today's day in age, we met online. Our personalities and passions clicked right away, and we both knew this relationship was completely different. God worked things out in His perfect timing because the country shut down from coronavirus five days after our first date. We began our relationship in some tough and interesting times... a COVID romance as many would say. We went several weeks without seeing one another and months without many ways to go on dates or adventures. But, God was faithful and helped us to grow in our relationship and still find creative ways to have adventures.

How Did Ethan Propose?

On the day Ethan asked me to be his girlfriend, he took me for a walk on the trails at Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha. Now, flash forward eight months. It was a brisk, November Saturday, and Ethan planned for us to go out for lunch and then to Petrifying Springs Park. He wanted to show me a "cool spot" he discovered that might be fun to go to. We ended up eating quicker than expected and arrived at the park well before Ethan had wanted to be there. So, in light of being there early, Ethan decided to take me on (what felt like) every trail in the whole park. We went up and down, trudging through slippery and mucky trails. Finally after a while, we made our way to the "cool spot" Ethan wanted to show me. It was a boardwalk that winded just outside of the woods. We started walking down the boardwalk, and when we turned a corner, I noticed my cousin Crystal (a photographer) crouched with her camera. I instantly knew what was happening. Ethan then turned, grabbed my hands, and started speaking to me. We both cried while he spoke many sweet things. Ethan then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him... and I obviously said yes.
