Our Love Story

Ethan and Kelbe grew up 20 minutes apart but didn’t meet until 2021. They met through a mutual friend, and in 2022 Ethan came to Fargo, where Kelbe was living at the time, to celebrate NDSU homecoming on October 1st. That same day, Kelbe had asked Ethan to be her "fake boyfriend" for the day. They hit it off and the following weekend Kelbe drove to Morris to celebrate Morris homecoming. The weekend after that, on October 16th, Ethan and Kelbe were in downtown Fargo when Ethan took Kelbe under a tree lit with blue Christmas lights and asked her to be his girlfriend. Over the next seven months, they were long-distance, driving back and forth every weekend from Morris to Fargo to be together (we never missed a weekend!). In May 2023, Ethan graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris, and a few weekends later, he and Kelbe moved into their first apartment together in Fargo. They lived there for two years before deciding to move back to Ethan's hometown, Kerkhoven. Just three weeks after moving into their brand-new home, Ethan got down on one knee and asked Kelbe to marry him.

TIMELINE & SHUTTLE

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Guests are kindly asked to arrive by 3:30 PM. Vehicles may be left overnight at the lake but must be picked up by 12:00 PM the following day. Guests attending the reception only may arrive at the reception venue starting at 5:00 PM. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 PM with dinner and dance to follow. There will be a shuttle running at the end of the night with drop offs to both hotels listed below. One shuttle will leave at 9:00 PM and the last shuttle will leave after the bride and groom's exit at 11:00 PM. Guests may leave their vehicles at the venue overnight, provided they are retrieved by 12:00 PM the next day.

Hotels

We do not have any room blocks at either hotel listed below. The shuttle running at the end of the night will drop off at both hotels.
