My bold, bright, and beautiful sister. Has been my buddy since I was 4 when she was adopted. We laugh all the time and she makes me a better person. If anyone can bring me out of my shell it is her.

My best friend and the most generous person I know. She is the friend I prayed for throughout high school and I am forever grateful for her influence on my life.

The kindest, most positive friend I have. She always sees the best in people. She is incredibly trustworthy and kind hearted. We went to the same high school but through RUF we became the closest of friends. I also had the honor to be in her wedding.

She is the sweetest, smartest, and most beautiful person you will ever meet. She and I are very similar and over the years love to laugh together and also be introverted together. She is the friend God knew I needed.

Ben Gordon was one of two roommates that I had during my freshman year of college, and for a semester the next year. We’d never met before then, but quickly formed a friendship that grew rapidly over the next year and a half.. Through many pancake nights, Halo missions, and long discussions, he became one of my closest friends and “Best Man” I could ask for.

I had known Isaac during my freshman year, but didn’t form a close friendship with him until we roomed together sophomore year. Over that time, he has brought a lighthearted and entertaining atmosphere to my time at Union. He has stayed with me through the ups and downs of college life

Josiah appeared one day in my dorm room sophomore year, over to avoid the warzone that is the freshman laundry room. Through the next couple of months, he stayed in our dorm for more than just washing clothes, and became a fantastic friend. He is woven much from the same material that I am, and has been a steady influence in my life throughout a crazy college year. His calm honesty and reassurance has been a wonderful presence to have.

Caden was one of the first people that I ever met at Union, another local Alabamian who was with me in the small friend group that formed over the course of Scholars of Excellence and orientation. We began hanging out again in sophomore year, and even my nickname I was given those early days, “Nessie” (long story), stuck. He has yet to refer to me by anything else, and I’m completely fine with that. Throughout the year, Caden has been a steady and mature presence in my life - he and his dry sense of humor have helped keep me sane through the wonderful and chaotic first half of college.
