So, most of you know how Alexis and I both met, but if you don't, or even if you do and just like spending your free time reading sappy, emotional stories about how people fall in love, then please, read on!Before you continue though, you're probably wondering why our story is titled "That Random Guy", right? Well then, let me fill you in. As most of you know, Alexis and I were both raised as Jehovah's Witnesses. Now there was a point in our story where both of our families belonged to the same congregation. Most Thursday nights after our meetings would end, a group of us would go down
 the road to McDonalds (mmmm so healthy, Alexis loves McDonalds) for a snack and just to spend a little time together. Well, one of those nights we were all sitting there talking and the conversation came up about future husbands/wives (now this was before she knew
 I even had feelings for her and vice versa). So as the conversation continued, Alexis goes on to say how she doesn't want to marry any guy that she knows. How she wants to marry a random guy. Someone that comes out of nowhere and just becomes "the one". Now when I heard this, I thought it was the funniest thing
 I had ever heard. I told her that once she meets "the guy" and gets to know him, he won't be a random guy anymore! I didn't know it that night, but as time would show, I would soon become "that random guy".Now that you know the funny little story behind the title, I'll tell you the actual story of how we became "us".
 
It all started a couple years ago, back in 2012. I had started inviting groups of friends over every week to study for our Sunday meetings. It made studying fun and we all would hang out, eat, and play games after. It was something we all looked forward to each week. Anyway, one day my sister had asked if a girl and her brother who she recently met could come to the next study and of course that wasn't a problem. So next week ....my life changed forever. 
 
That next week was the first time I ever met Alexis (and her brother Andrew lol). All I could remember after she left was how sweet and funny she was...and yes I may have slightly been thinking about how pretty she was too. That night I met her, after her and everyone else had left, I specifically remember saying to my mom "That girl Alexis is the SWEETEST, most fun girl I have
 ever met in my life! And her brother is awesome too! We should have them over more often! That's when it all began (at this point I honestly had not thought of her romantically in any way, I genuinely just thought she was
 a nice, very pretty, girl who was a lot of fun to hang out with). As time went by, the days turned to months, and the months turned to April 30th, 2013. This was the day I made one of the best and worst decisions in my life. On that day I decided it would be a good idea to tell Alexis the feelings
that had grown for her over the past months. I didn't plan on feeling this way, I really didn't, but I couldn't help it, she just grew on me. Everything about her. Her laugh, her smile, her kindness, the very silly way about her, everything about who she was just made me feel so much different than anyone else had ever made me feel... so that day, I asked her to step outside with me for just a moment. We walked out and sat on my front porch. At that moment my knees started shaking. Sorry, not shaking, trembling! I mean they were really going and I couldn't stop them no matter how hard
 I tried! The nerves just took over and that was it. So as I sat there trembling, I somehow managed to get out the words "I like you" without passing out. I don't know what else I said, the rest is all a blur, I may have blacked out? Well, to my surprise, she said it back! Honestly...I was in shock! I never expected
 anyone like THIS, especially not Alexis Marie Donadio, to actually have feelings for me! That was it, from that point on, I knew she was the one. From April 30th, 2013...it was going to happen. It was just a matter of time before we would become "us". So here we are, approaching four years later, to the day, about to start the greatest journey we will ever embark on, becoming husband and wife. I will say with 100% confidence...we could NOT be happier! We are so happy for the family and friends we have in our life who we get to share this part of our life with. It
 will only get better from this point on. We love all of you very much!
