In the fall of 2018 Ethan was attending Purdue and living in the frat, BYX. He was roommates with one if his groomsmen, Jack Whitlock. Jack was dating Abby's best friend and MOH, Damaria so naturally Abby and Damaria went over to hang out with Jack. Abby had seen photos of Ethan on instagram and thought he was cute. All night he was no where to be found. Once it was time for the girlies to go home, Abby and Ethan met in the hall. For a few minutes they chatted, said goodbye and Jack drove the girls to Damaria's dorm. In that car ride Abby said to them, "I am going to marry that kid."

In May of 2021 Jack and Damaria got married! Very exciting because it meant that Abby had to chance to flirt with Ethan. Abby followed him around, shared a dance and talked with him as much as she could. Ethan thought she was cute and funny but they didn't end up exchanging numbers that night.

It was the annual BYX Paint Party, Abby had hung out with friends beforehand for a little pregame. When they got there Damaria had found some of her old Stewart housemates and were catching up. One of the girls was Addy Westrate. Without thinking Abby blurted out 'you look SO familiar! Where do I know you from?" and Addy laughed, she said she was ethan's sister and she had probably seen her on instagram. Abby was mortified. Thank goodness for Addy saving the awkwardness by saying "you're Abby right? Ethan has shown me your instagram!". A relief from tis embarrassment was lifesaving and reassuring because to Abby this meant she had a chance! She found Ethan and talked with him a few times and exchanged numbers! Progress was being made!

Halloween night was the night of their first kiss! They were at a mutual friend's party and had talked on their couch for a few hours until he finally asked to kiss her! Abby was over the moon this night and it started a 6 month long talking stage of phone calls, texts and sending funny TikTok's to each other.

This is the day Ethan asked Abby to be his girlfriend! In the weeks leading up to this they had attended each others Sorority and Fraternity formals, spent time together at Purdue on dates and decided it was finally time to make it official!

The day he finally popped the question! In a park where Abby and Ethan had one of their first dates He got down on one knee and brought out the biggest rock she had ever seen and of course she said yes!
