New Orleans is a city packed with music, art, history and culture. And by culture, we mean amazing dining experiences. What kind of music? Live jazz. So what is there to do? Everything!

Here are some great ideas to get you started on planning your itinerary:

- Walk or bike the city and explore the French Quarter and Jackson Square. Stop at St. Louis Cathedral.

- Frenchman Street - packed with live music venues and cool bars

- Royal Street - one of NOLA's oldest streets with great shops and art galleries

- Bourbon Street - speaks for itself!

- Take a trolly tour and make sure to visit Magazine Street in the Garden District for some shopping.

- New Orleans City Park - one of the a largest urban parks in the US with golf, tennis, and other outdoor activities

- Bywater Neighborhood - Hip, up-and-coming area of New Orleans full of cool shops, bars and restaurants (and a bit of seediness). This is our favorite area to hang out, grab a drink and some food, and enjoy the daytime weather.

Music:

- Davenport Lounge - Located in the Ritz Carlton, this is some of the best Jazz music in the city. Jeremy Davenport studied under several members of the Marsalis family.

- Tipitina's - Famous New Orleans music venue hosting a variety of local, national, and international acts.

- Preservation Hall Jazz Band - Longstanding New Orleans stable of high quality Jazz music located in the French Quarter.

- Spotted Cat Music Club - Excellent Jazz Music on Frenchmen Street
