We met at the very beginning of Eva's Masters degree, Eva's first year and Dani's second year. At the welcome day for all the new students, Eva presented herself asking for recommendations of how to prepare for the program given she had never previously studied economics. The representative from the program, a second year student, advised to reach out to the very available Daniele Valla who had also earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology and had no prior knowledge on economics. After several back and forth attempts to meet through Facebook Messenger Dani finally said this is ridiculous, I have a bike, I can meet you even if you're not on campus to which Eva responded its easier than that, I live on campus so we can meet later in the evening. Dani responded saying he also lived on campus which led to the embarrassing discovery that we both lived on the second floor of the same residence building. We met in the common kitchen for a tea, and though it wasn't exactly love at first sight, the rest was history.
