It all started back in 2016 when we met the August before our senior year of high school, and neither of us knew this would be our forever person. Evan asked Carley to meet her in the parking lot in Redwood City (we realize this was a little sketchy now...). It took many dates for Evan to lean in for their first kiss....Carley received many fist bumps.

We soon became official and grew closer together.

We soon faced the tough decision of college. Evan planned on going to University of Utah, while Carley chose to attend UC Davis (Cow town).

It was a real struggle doing long distance, but we made it work and grew stronger throughout.

Before we went off to college, Evan introduced Carley to his family Cabin on Fallen Leaf Lake for the first time (it’s been in the family for 100 years!)....she realized this (the cabin) was the reason why she really wanted to be with Evan ;-)

We visited each other at our colleges and then Evan decided to make a change to his college path.

After a year attending 2 community colleges simultaneously, Evan was accepted to UC Davis!

In the summer, we decided to take an adventure to Israel where we rode camels, stayed in a big tent in the middle of the desert, hiked at sunrise, ate MANY falafels, and made lifelong friends.

We then started the new school year TOGETHER for the first time!

Unfortunately, COVID impacted the rest of our college experiences after March of this year. We tried to make the most of it and spent a LOT of time together...we were lucky that we liked each other enough.

We turned 21 this year, so we celebrated with family and Carley surprised Evan with a trip to Carmel!

We also took advantage of online school and basically lived at Fallen Leaf throughout the summertime :).

We graduated woohoo!

Only 2 days after graduating, both of us started full time jobs!

Evan started as a purchasing analyst with Rivian, and Carley became a 2nd grade teacher at Belmont Oaks Academy.

With all of that real money, we took our first real trip (just us) to Hawaii! (and then learned how expensive it is)! We took a motorcycle all over the island and discovered delicious Mai Tais, dole whip, and poke! (Feel free to ask Carley about the bush man)

This year was filled with many fun Cali trips!!

*We took the most BEAUTIFUL road trip down Highway 1, all along the California coast. We stopped in Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, Laguna Beach, San Diego, and Santa Barbara!

*We had an adventure-filled summer with family and friends in Tahoe and at the cabin (you may be noticing a trend...)

*Carley surprised Evan with a seaplane tour over the bay and Marin Headlands for their 6th anniversary! (We were a little skeptical about the landing...)

Lots happened this year for us....where do we begin??

1. We took the big step and moved in together!!! I do have to say...we have learned a LOT haha.

2. We travelled to Europe and ALL around Italy! We only hit a few speed bumps along the way...don't ask Evan about the roundabouts and tolls.

3. We (aka Carley) decided to get a puppy!! Within 3 weeks, we drove to southern Oregon to pick up our 8 week old Portuguese Waterdog, Schmitty!!! He is such a good boy...most of the time. We love him so much, even when he eats the plants, steals our socks, and jumps on the counters.

4. EVAN PROPOSED!! He still thinks Carley was more excited to get the dog (only partly true).

This year involves a lot of wedding planning and keeping Schmitty occupied! We also look forward to all of the fun celebrations that are to come and can’t wait for the WEDDING with you all in Tahoe this October! :)
