The Beginning:

Evan and I met in the winter of 2018 when we both resorted to swiping on Tinder. Neither of us thought Tinder would be our final destination but after many left swipes there was finally a compatible right swipe. Evan sent me a message stating "On a scale of 1 to America, how free are you right now?". He didn't know this would land as well as it did, but at first glance I found it creative and gave him a shot. It wasn't until we started watching Letterkenny together a few months into dating that I realized that I was wooed by a stolen pickup line. Despite that discovery, the beginning of our relationship was fun. We spent our free weekends in between college classes and apprenticeship hours spending time together in both Sheboygan and Waukesha. When we were both done with school, we were excited to spend more time close to each other and get to know each others families better.

The Middle:

In 2021 we decided to take the next steps in our relationship and move into our first apartment together. Although it took a while to adjust, we both learned a lot about each other and had a lot of fun first experiences together. Pewaukee treated us well and soon we decided to start searching for a house. After many house tours and offers, we finally got an accepted offer on a beautiful ranch in Mukwonago. This news couldn't have come on a better day, as earlier in the afternoon Evan surprised me by proposing. We both will forever hold this day close to our hearts, as we went to Retzer Nature Center to try and recreate some photos from one of our first dates. We couldn't find the bridge we originally sat at but found a new path that was built and setup Evan's tripod there. I had insisted on helping Evan carry his camera equipment on our hike and little did I know that I was also carrying an engagement ring. The photos on this page are the ones Evan took of our engagement. The last picture is from one of our first dates at Retzer which we tried to recreate on the day Evan proposed.

The Now:

Since our engagement we've been enjoying our home together and working on various projects to make it our own. We've enjoyed planning our wedding and are patiently waiting for our wedding day to (finally) get here. We have been overwhelmed and blessed by all the love and support that we've recieved over the last 5 years from our family and friends, so we cannot wait to have a big party and celebrate with everyone! Althought it'd be nice to trade Juozapaitis for a shorter last name, I am excited to be a Charbonneau.
