It all started on when we met up at Fire By The Monon for our very first date. Between the nervousness and great conversation, we quickly realized this was more than just a casual dinner—it was the beginning of something special.
From there, we became experts in dating adventures: coffee shops, outdoor restaurants, home improvement projects on two houses, and Monon Trail walks became our go to hangouts. But we didn’t stop there…
We have become excellent travel companions- we took a trip to Holland, Michigan, where we explored adorable local shops and completed some of the official Brewsade in Grand Rapids. Then came a trip to Chicago for Evan’s birthday, where Hannah gave Evan the full tour of her fancy city girl neighborhood—complete with her favorite donut shop, restaurant, and a Cubs game to top it all off. Go Cubbies!
We have become pros at traveling around to see our friends- we’ve been to all corners of Indiana, Kansas, and Tennessee (shout out Buccees)! We also took a trip back to Minneapolis where Evan got to explore Hannah’s old neighborhood and meet a lot of her friends. We ended that trip meeting old coworkers and friends at the Angel Gala with lots of laughter and new memories.
This summer, we went big with an East Coast adventure. We slept on a houseboat, cruised through Providence, RI on a boat tour, wandered through a castle in Connecticut, and hiked up (and down!) the mountains of Vermont, where we took our engagement photos surrounded by breathtaking views and a mountain backdrop.
Speaking of engagement… on May 10th—Hannah’s birthday—Evan pulled off the ultimate surprise and popped the question. She said yes! (There may have been tears, lots of "yes's!", and celebratory snacks involved.)
Now, we’re getting ready for our biggest adventure yet—marriage! We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you, laugh a lot, cry a little (the good kind), and dance like no one’s watching. Thank you for being part of our story—we can’t wait to share this day with the people we love most.
We love this coffee shop/ food hall/ brewery.
