In August 2016, almost eight years ago, Evan and Megan met during their first orientation group at Catholic University
Both architecture majors, they started to run into each other frequently on campus. One day Megan was surprised to see Evan wearing the same high school track t-shirt she owned. It turns out they attended the same track meets during high school and grew up in towns less than 35 minutes away from each other in New Jersey.

Agreeing to go out on a date together, they went to dinner at Catholic University’s famous first date restaurant, BusBoys and Poets, and the rest is history…….NOT.
Although they had a nice time, Megan thought Evan was a total goofball and said it would probably be best if they were just friends and Evan said sure why not. Obviously, Evan is still a complete goofball, Megan just embraces it now.
From freshman year to junior year they were not only friends but also classmates spending many hours together in the architecture building. Megan already working at her desk, always knew when Evan entered the building. Everyday from across the hall she'd hear Evan yell, “WHAT'S UP EVERYONE?!” (this is the clean version of course) making all the design studios erupt in laughter, including Megan, as he'd stroll through the building. From the corner of her eye, Megan could see Evan heading to his desk dressed in his uniform of plaid pajama pants and a beanie hat while carrying a box full of fries from the cafeteria in one hand and an ice cream cone in the other. This was a regular occurrence and there was no avoiding him.

Megan and Evan still had their own activities and social events and yet overtime they ended up in the same friend group and enjoyed spending more and more time together. Megan realized her now best friend deserved a second chance.

At the end of the junior year, Megan told Evan how she felt and he had absolutely no clue. He thought they were always just going to be friends but he was absolutely ready to start a new journey together, so they started dating December 18th, 2018.
A few weeks into dating, the pair would be on their way to Rome for their spring semester. Going across the world to study architecture in a brand new relationship could have been a disaster, but they ended up having the best time of their lives.
Some of their very first dates included walking the streets of Rome without a care in the world and taking long weekend trips to Berlin, Krakow, Barcelona, Athens, London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Malta, Venice and a few other places.
Once returning to the States they both graduated undergrad during COVID, went on to complete their Master's together, traveled some more, adopted a rescue dog, found jobs they love and recently both became licensed architects.
They’ve enjoyed every step of the journey together over the last 5 years as the “power couple” as a few of their professors often called them, and can't wait to celebrate their next chapter of marriage with everyone.
