Getting to Buffalo

Buffalo is easily accessible by car and just a quick drive from many nearby cities. If you're traveling through Canada (especially for our Michiganders), be sure to bring a valid passport or enhanced driver’s license for re-entry into the U.S. Safe travels, we can’t wait to welcome you!

Driving

Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is the closest airport and just 15–20 minutes from downtown. It’s a convenient option with flights from many major cities. Don’t forget to have your valid passport or Real ID driver’s license. We’re so excited to see you soon!

With incredible food and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s our favorite place to grab a drink and spend time with loved ones - &amp; where we celebrate all of our big life milestones, including our engagement. If you're looking for a great spot to grab a drink, check out Founding Fathers Pub. Known for its presidential-themed décor, free popcorn, &amp; trivia-loving crowd, it’s a Buffalo gem. Stop by, raise a glass, and experience Evan's go-to dive bar!

If you’re looking to explore a charming village, head to Williamsville. Stop by Overwinter Coffee (our favorite) for a cozy cup, visit Strobel’s Antiques for some unique finds, then head over to the Glen Park waterfall for a peaceful escape. Just a short drive from our house, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon!

If you're looking for a spot to hang out in Buffalo, head to Canalside. This waterfront offers plenty of activities from boat tours and biking to outdoor concerts and food trucks. Don't miss the Buffalo Naval Park, where you can explore historic ships and learn about the city’s maritime history, or take a spin on the restored Buffalo Heritage Carousel!

If you're in Buffalo, you can't miss trying the wings. Start at our pick, Bar Bill Tavern, widely regarded as the best in town with their perfectly crispy and saucy wings. For more wing goodness, check out Elmo's for their unique flavors, or head to Duff's for a true local choice. If you're up for a bit of a challenge, try Nine Eleven Tavern - their wings are incredible, but getting a seat can be a bit tricky and don't forget cash. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you!

If you’re looking for an outdoor activity, Delaware Park is a must-visit! This 350-acre park in the heart of Buffalo offers something for everyone, including a serene Japanese Garden, the Buffalo Zoo, &amp; beautiful walking trails. It’s the perfect spot to relax, explore, &amp; enjoy nature in one of the city’s most iconic green spaces.

It wouldn’t be a trip to Buffalo without a stop at Chef’s Restaurant - Uncle Peter’s favorite spot! Famous for its red-checkered tablecloth and the legendary spaghetti parm, it’s a must-visit on the Carlin cousin Buffalo trail. Grab a bib, dig in, &amp; get parmed!
