When it takes place: The Jaggo is usually held one or two days before the wedding.
Who attends: Family and friends of both the bride and groom.
What happens: The families arrive at the wedding venue with fanfare, and the bride and groom are usually dressed in traditional Punjabi clothing. The event is filled with music, dance, food, and laughter.

Mehndi: Also known as Henna. The mehndi ceremony is a pre-wedding celebration in Sikh culture that involves applying henna to the bride, groom, and other women in the family. The ceremony is a time for celebration, song, and dance, and is usually held two to three days before the wedding.
Maiyan: Also known as the turmeric ceremony. Is a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony that involves applying a paste to the bride and groom's bodies to cleanse and beautify them before the wedding.
