Honestly, the earlier the better. Please do not wait until last minute because the prices will go up. Reach out to us if you have further questions.

There are three main options of airports we recommend flying into: Rome, Milan or Florence. The airports in Rome or Milan typically have more options in terms of international flights and it is very easy to book a train from either city to Florence. The other option is flying into Florence, which is the closest city with an airport to our wedding venue.

Luckily, train tickets are quite cheap! You can buy tickets beforehand, which we recommend as it is less hectic on arrival and typically just requires you show them a QR code. Or you can also buy a train ticket the day of... if you aren't type a like Danielle.

We have our venue and rooms booked from Tuesday, September 17th to Friday, September 20th. Due to the time difference, we recommend flying in a day or two before so you can get acclimated, but it is up to your discretion to decide what is best for you. We check out of the venue on the morning of the 20th, so after that you are free to enjoy the rest of your vacation or fly home.

Unfortunately, Borgo Stomennano only sleeps 38 people on their property. We have already made these sleeping arrangements, and we will reach out to those that will be sleeping there. For those who are not staying on the property, we will reach out with alternative options to book nearby hotels/Airbnbs. See travel tab for more information.

The easiest way to get to Borgo Stomennano is to take a bus from Florence to Siena. Once you are in Siena, we will provide transportation to Stomennano for our rehearsal dinner and for the wedding day. You are also free to rent a car from Florence if you would like to drive straight to Stomennano.

For guests staying at Borgo Stomennano, check-in is not until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17th. Please plan on meeting in Siena around 2:00 because we have prearranged transportation to the villa to take us all at once. For guests not staying in Stomennano, please refer to your reservation for check-in and check-out times.

If you arrive in Italy before the 17th, be sure to book a place to stay and have fun acclimating/exploring before we get together for the wedding. We will be arriving and staying in Siena on Monday, 9/16. If you arrive to Siena before the 2:00 PM meeting time, please feel free to contact us so you can leave your luggage in our hotel and enjoy the city. At 2:00, we will meet with all the people who have arrived early in Siena and take a bus to Stomennano together.

Great question! The theme of the wedding is essentially "fancy garden party." For females, that means evening gowns or formal long cocktail dresses. These dresses can be floral and colorful; formal does not mean just plain colors. However, formal does exclude cotton material. For males, you are welcome to wear any color suit or tuxedo you would like, but please be sure to wear a tie or bowtie. For everyone, the more colorful the better!

Exactly what you think it means! To make the welcome party/rehearsal dinner a little more fun, why not have everyone wear pink of all sorts :) Any and all shades are welcome as long as it is in the pink family!
