What Type of Ceremony?
The wedding ceremony will be taking place in a Catholic Church. Following the marriage vows, the ceremony will be celebrated with a Traditional Latin Mass, also known as the Extraordinary Form. This form of Catholic liturgy is celebrated primarily in Latin, with the priest facing the altar and often with periods of quiet, reverent silence. The Mass commemorates Christ's sacrifice on Calvary. Through the Mass, Catholics believe that the faithful can receive the benefits of Christ's sacrifice, such as forgiveness of sins and grace.
What is the Dress Code?
The dress code is formal. We kindly ask all our guests to come dressed in a modest and respectful manner befitting to the House of God, the Holy Eucharist and those around us. Inappropriate and immodest attire includes but is not limited to; sleeveless outfits, low-cut necklines, hemlines above the knee, and form-fitting clothing for both men and women. The bride and groom greatly appreciate your cooperation and we look forward to celebrating our day with you.
What Type of Reception?
Reception will take place at Lumen Hall located Downtown Coeur d'Alene. Reception will start off at 4:30pm with drinks and appetizers, followed by dinner at 5:30pm and festivities concluding by 10pm.
Whats for Dinner?
We will be serving some of the best local barbecue food the Pacific Northwest has to offer, Drummin Up BBQ. For Catholics who are concerned, a dispensation has been granted for those who normally abstain from meat on Fridays.
Is there parking?
There is ample and free parking both at the Church and reception venue.
Are children allowed?
Children are very welcomed, both at the ceremony and reception venues.
Have you reserved any hotel rooms?
We have not reserved a block of rooms. We recommend booking a place that will be close to the ceremony and reception venues such as in Post Falls, or Couer D'Alene. Please see the Travel tab for specific recommendations and ideas of where to stay.
