Evan and Kelsie met in grad school when they were paired together in a group for the semester. Summoning his courage, Evan asked Kelsie to join him and his friends for a night out at the Halloween bars in Downtown Denver. During that outing, Evan worked up the nerve to ask Kelsie on a date to the finest dining establishment he could afford at the time—Sonic Drive-Thru. After this date, they quickly fell in love.

Soon after, they moved in together, where Kelsie's dog, Daisy, would feud with Evan (don’t worry—they’re best friends now).

Over the years, Evan and Kelsie have shared countless adventures, traveling to amazing places like Seattle, Paris, London, Frankfurt, Puerto Peñasco, Phoenix, Laramie, and New York City. On October 4, 2024, Evan proposed to Kelsie at Kerry Park in Seattle, Washington, their favorite city, and Kelsie said yes!
