We met in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2015—Evan was a biology student at Indiana University, and Trevor was working at the music school. What started as a simple hangout turned into something neither of us expected but both of us felt was worth holding onto.
Since then, we’ve been through a lot together. We moved in when Evan started medical school and spent the next four years navigating the intensity of that experience—long nights, high stress, a global pandemic. During that time, Trevor also went back to school and earned a second degree, balancing work, school, and life as a team. Through it all, we kept showing up for each other, no matter what.
After graduation, we moved to Lexington, Kentucky, for Evan’s first year of residency, while Trevor prepared for law school. It was during that chapter—on a trip to Las Vegas—that Trevor proposed in front of the Mirage volcano show. We spent the night listening to live music, soaking it in, and feeling grateful for how far we’d come.
Now, we’re living in two different cities—Evan in Columbia for his anesthesia residency, and Trevor in St. Louis for law school—continuing to support each other across the distance.
Our relationship has always been about showing up, staying steady, and continuing to choose each other—even through big transitions and tough seasons. We’re proud of the life we’ve built, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
