Paul and Evelyn met under the most unlikely of circumstances and have been lucky enough to share their lives together ever since. The two won the lottery and are taking it in annuities.For their first date, the two met for dinner near Evelyn’s hometown of Huntington Beach and overstayed their welcome at the restaurant by several hours (sorry but not sorry, Mr. Waiter Man!) They covered religion, politics, death, taxes, babies, pet preferences and all those other things you typically reserve for at least the third date. Evelyn and Paul didn’t care to waste time; they’d finally found their soulmates and it was time to bring each other up to speed on their lives thus far.

Origins

The two quickly proved inseparable, visiting one another on the weekends and finding excuses to stretch those weekends into the adjacent weeks.&nbsp;

For their fifth date, Evelyn met Paul in Tokyo where the two visited a ninja-themed restaurant complete with hidden passages and exploding (literally) cuisine. They later karaoke'd through the night until “first train” at 5:30am.&nbsp;

Had you been there and you listened closely, you may have been able to make out Evelyn’s beautiful voice over Paul’s tone-deaf droning. The two were in sync, frequently confiding in one another that they thought the other was the same person.&nbsp;What they meant was they were perfect complements.

Inseparable

What they found in each other was the most patient, kind, understanding, supportive and loving partner they could ask for.&nbsp;The patient part would come in handy when Paul proposed to Evelyn by hiding a ring inside of a Kinder egg, which in the US comes in two halves - one is chocolate, the other a toy. Paul meticulously removed (ate) the chocolate and substituted it with the ring. Evelyn was surprised - and doubly so that he hadn’t just replaced the toy.

Perfect Complements

Evelyn and Paul have taken their love on a roadshow - from the heights of Breckenridge to the depths of scuba diving, from Robot Restaurant in Tokyo to a hot air balloon ride in Temecula, from a romantic engagement dinner in San Antonio to horseback riding in Utah, from skydiving in Oceanside to jet skiing in Cabo and from Oktoberfest-on-a-train to cooking and acting classes near home.

Already, Evelyn and Paul have embarked on a number of life adventures together: moving in together, buying a home and a car, riffing on each others’ quirky sense of humor by appending “bois” to random words, almost buying a puppy (to be continued!), reveling in their love in San Antonio and celebrating with their friends in Palm Springs.

Paul and Evelyn’s greatest adventures are yet to come.&nbsp;They’re both eternally grateful for those that can share in their love at their wedding and those that will be there in spirit. Acre

Acre is a 25-acre piece of farmland near San Jose del Cabo with restaurant, cocktail bar, event space, swimming pool, and farms, and 12 tree houses.&nbsp;That's right - the "hotel" rooms they offer are actually treehouses.When you walk to the restaurant and bar area from the parking lot, you meander&nbsp;through a succulent forest across paving stones down&nbsp;a serene, other-wordly path.&nbsp;The restaurant is gorgeous and the food is very unique. Flora Farms

Truly from&nbsp;farm&nbsp;to&nbsp;table,&nbsp;Flora’s Field kitchen is about handmade food using their farm fresh ingredients. The&nbsp;menu is seasonal, with some permanent classics. The customs line is pretty easy, especially if you have SENTRI. For those who don't, the line will probably about 20 minutes.



Immediately getting into the Mexico spirit: 

After your (not-so-grueling) entry into Mexico, there's a bar just as you walk outside the airport for your cerveza- and margarita-drinking pleasures. Andale!&nbsp; 



If you are renting a car:

Someone from your car rental agency will be waiting in that same area. Every company has shuttles that pick up passengers and take them to the lots - the ride is less than 5 minutes away.&nbsp;



If you are not renting a car:

You can organize for the hotel to pick you up at the airport. More details to come on this!

When you land in Mexico you will have to fill out a tourist card. On the form, you will have to fill out one side for the Mexican government and the other side for you to keep.&nbsp;When you are at border control, they will rip off one side of the tourist card and return the other half to you.&nbsp;You have to keep this half of the tourist card and return it to border control when you leave the country.&nbsp;If you happen to visit one of the automated kiosks, it is likely that they will just give you the print-off from the kiosk to keep.&nbsp;This is equivalent to the second half of the tourist card - keep it for your departure!

For non-US&nbsp;citizens:

For US&nbsp;citizens:



While both the US&nbsp;and Mexico require passports to be valid at least&nbsp;for the dates of travel, some airlines are stricter. We recommend that you call your airline to make sure that your passport expiration date (if it is less than 6 months after your travel dates) will be sufficient.&nbsp;

Passports

Dollars are accepted everywhere in Mexico, even at toll roads.&nbsp;That said, you may&nbsp;not have as favorable of an exchange rate.&nbsp;Credit cards, particularly VISA cards,&nbsp;are accepted almost everywhere. You will have the option to pay in Pesos or your native currency. We recommend choosing Pesos, as the exchange rate your card charges is likely higher than the one they offer.&nbsp;

Cash

We recommend you get international calling and data activated on your phone.&nbsp;This will be helpful for keeping in touch with us, calling Ubers, keeping up with your homies on Instagram, and all the other good stuff you do on your pocket computer.

Mobile Phones

Uber is pretty readily available in Los Cabos with the exception of picking you up at the airport. That said, they are allowed to drop you off at the airport.&nbsp;If you don't feel like driving, then this is the best&nbsp;option. The wait time is always about&nbsp;5-10 minutes, it's really cheap (a 15-20 minute Uber cost us about $5), and it is very well monitored by hotel/resort staff.&nbsp;Obviously, this won't be possible if you don't have international data activated on your phone or ready access to wifi.

Uber

License requirements US&nbsp;licenses are accepted in Mexico. You will not need an international driving license to rent a car.&nbsp;

For non-US drivers licenses, we suggest you consult with the rental agency before booking a car.&nbsp;It may be the case that you need an International Driving Permit.&nbsp;Our research suggests that most international licenses are accepted in Mexico, but no promises!Toll roadsMake sure you have some cash for toll roads. There is only one toll road between the airport and the venues, and the fee is only a couple of dollars. USD&nbsp;is accepted.&nbsp; Required Car Insurance

You may be tempted to book your rental car with companies like Expedia, Rentalcars.com, or another of those discount travel websites.

DO NOT DO THIS.

Do not rent a car in Mexico through a third party website.&nbsp;While the price seems amazing, you will be slapped with an insurance fee once you arrive at the car rental desk.&nbsp;Even if you rent through somewhere like Expedia and you add the additional insurance, this will NOT be the insurance that you need to have in order to rent a car.

In Mexico, you MUST have third party or what’s sometimes referred to at personal liability insurance.

Mexico does not recognize any other insurance you buy through a third party like Expedia. It also does not recognize insurance that is offered to you through your credit card. It does not recognize your US car insurance. This should cost roughly $10 a day from most companies.How to Rent a Car in Mexico<h2></h2>

The one and only way to rent a car in Mexico is to book directly with the rental car company. You can do this through their website or you can do it once you arrive at the airport in Mexico.



Renting directly through the rental car company ensures that you only pay exactly what you need to pay and nothing more. You will be able to get the exact daily rate. This includes the required third party insurance so there won’t be any surprises when you pick up the car.
