Evonne and Chris met in March 2021 at the ER of Saint Clare's in Denville, NJ. Evonne was working and Chris was visiting a friend that was also when he saw Evonne for the first time. He told his friend Meaghan that the girl he just saw (Evonne) was beautiful and that he had to meet her. However, Chris was too shy to go up to Evonne and introduce himself, so he waited until he left to slide into her DMs on Instagram.

Evonne and Chris had their first date at Tommy's Tavern in October 2021.

Chris proposed to Evonne on September 14, 2023 while on a walk at Acadia National Park in Maine. He reached out to a local photographer and asked her to help him plan the perfect spot for a special proposal.
