Our story began in 2014 at Marian Central Catholic High School, where we spent three years walking past each other, completely unaware that we were meant to be together. Early on in our relationship, we uncovered some old text messages, which amusingly revealed our mutual fondness for each other early on in high school—something neither of us remember.




Fast forward to December 2022, when we found ourselves back home for Christmas and reconnected unexpectedly. We decided to grab lunch at a local taco spot in Woodstock, IL, a favorite from our high school days. What was meant to be a quick catch-up turned into nearly four hours of conversation, filled with laughter and a sense of familiarity.




In February 2023, Faelan surprised all her friends and herself by buying a plane ticket to Nashville to spend the weekend with Ty—a move that was definitely out of character for her. After that incredible weekend, it became clear that we had something special. We navigated a long-distance relationship until May 2024, when Faelan graduated with her doctorate and made the exciting leap to move to Nashville to be with Ty.
