Attire: If you wish, bring Peaky Blinders themed attire to make the most of the night's festivities.

Please join us and stay the night at Auchen Castle on the night before the ceremony! Check in is at 3 pm. We will serve a relaxing tea time after check in while getting to know the castle, enjoy a meal together, and have friends and family get to know each other through a Peaky Blinders themed murder mystery quest. Rehearsal Dinner meal will be served at 6 o'clock.

Attire: Please wear formal attire in fall colors. Consider brown, greens, burgundy, burnt orange to fit in with the atmosphere of the castle and the Scottish lowlands. Scotland's weather in August can be slightly chilly, so shrugs, long sleeves, or shawls are encouraged.

Join us on the terrace to witness our promises to each other as we formalize our marriage.

Canapés & Champagne

Enjoy Hors d'oeuvres and champagne following the ceremony while we commemorate our day with photographs around the castle.

Wedding Breakfast

Following cocktail hour, we will follow Scottish tradition by serving a four-course breakfast accompanied by toasts and more champagne!

5:30 PM

Reception

Come celebrate with us as we dance, party, and toast to forever together.

8:30 PM

Evening Buffet & Hot Toddy Bar

Keep the party going with a late night buffet and hot toddy bar. Dance with us until we say goodnight!

Checkout at the Castle is at 10 am. We will be traveling to Edinburgh to spend a relaxing day walking through the city. Please feel free to join us.

Castle Details

Auchen Castle

We will all be staying together at the beautiful Auchen Castle in the Scottish lowlands. Auchen will send a link to the email address you provide with details about check-in and payment.

Dinner the night before our wedding will be provided, as well as lunch, and dinner the day of our wedding. Champagne and wine will also be provided to you throughout our big day to celebrate. Breakfast the morning of is included at the castle from 8 am to 9:30 am. The castle bar will be open during our stay beginning at noon.

Travel to the Castle:

If flying in to Edinburgh, you can take the train which leaves often to Lockerbie (about a 1-2 hour ride) then taxi to Moffat and the castle. Otherwise, a bus runs directly to Moffat, leaving from Edinburgh about 3 times a day (2 hour ride), and a short taxi ride will get you to the castle.

If flying in to Glasgow, you have similar options. Please note, however, the bus from Glasgow runs only once per day, leaving around 10:50 am.

Things to Do

Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall

Grey Mare's Tail Walk, Moffat DG10 9LH, UK

This beautiful walk will lead you to one of Scotland’s finest waterfalls, a magnificent 60m cascade in the Moffat hills. On this route, you’ll climb the falls and continue up to the stunning Loch Skeen. The walk is 4.5km long and takes between one and a half and two hours to complete.

A Taste of Scotland

Annandale Distillery in Annan is one of the few distilleries in the south of Scotland. Although it's one of the country's oldest, it fell into a deep slumber in 1918 to be rediscovered and restarted in 2014

All its malts are non-chill filtered, single cask, single malt Scotch whiskies, bottled at cask strength. You can tour the distillery, take a break in their café and shop their casks.

Moffat Town Center

Moffat town centre is only 10 minutes by car from the castle. With ample free parking, lots of independent shops and quaint cafes, it's perfect for an afternoon mooch. Explore its characterful buildings with many remaining faithful to their original architecture and style.
