Our Story (as told by Grason)

I met Faith a few days after I moved to Shreveport. I was fresh to the area, looking for friends and trying to get more situated. Some church friends had invited me to eat supper with them, and Faith tagged along. We hit it off pretty well from the beginning! We weren't best buddies or anything, but we got along well. The rest of the summer was filled with life adjustments, new friendships, and lots of fun times. By the beginning of September, I was becoming more and more interested in Ms. Faith A. Quarles. Not only was she interesting and hilarious (an odd combo, I know) , but she was just a joy to be around. Faith has the unique gift of making everyone in the room feel welcome and heard, and that captivated me. Fast forward to the end of September, and I went on a weekend trip with some friends (including Faith) to Branson. That trip pretty much sealed the deal for me! I just loved being with this girl. Soon after we got back, we and a group went to a jazz festival in downtown Shreveport. Your guy asked Faith to dance, and the spark was lit. (My mom's whole reaction to this sequence of events was "AHH honey you danced with Faith!? How precious!") I was on cloud nine at this point. The next day, I asked her out on our first "official" date, and the rest is history. There's not enough space here to talk about the goodness of God in bringing us together. I've since moved away from Shreveport, but in that year, I made life long friends, grewer closer to God, and met my wife. I arrived in Shreveport in the first place only because 1.) I was homeschooled, 2.) I was a "chemical engineer", and 3.) I went to Louisiana Tech (go dawgs). None of that is an accident, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I met the love of my life, forever, and that's enough to make me ridiculously grateful. Anyways, that's the story. I've probably left out a bunch of details that Faith will remind me about later. Our Story (As Told By Faith) 

Isn't Grason's story so sweet!! Here is my side! I first met Grason at Trivia night, and I remember texting my friend asking, "Who is this new guy?" I could've never predicted he would be my husband&nbsp;only a year and a half later. It is amazing how God works in the lives of his children. My moving back to Shreveport and Grason finding a job here, along with the fact that we both happened to go to the same church and have the same friends? Crazy. Our story is another example of trusting in the Lord's timing. Now let's get on to the meet-cute! So. My first interaction with Grason was small; we just met, I thought he was a cool guy and easy to talk to, and that was pretty much it! Over the course of a few weeks, we got to know each other more through group hangouts, more trivia, and BCM events! In late September, a group of friends, including myself and Grason, took a trip to Branson, MO. It was there that I found myself wanting to be around Grason even more! He bought me a book of Anecdotes, shared my love for tea and coffee, and did some of the funniest bits I've ever seen! It was a wonderful time. It was after the trip that we both started to realize what was building up - mutual affection! The following weeks were filled with more hangouts and eventually our first date! My favorite part about our relationship from then, and still today, is the talks and the laughs we shared! We talked forever, and getting to know all the inner workings of Grason is one of my most cherished memories. We walked many miles and shared many coffees over the past year. Like Grason said, come to hear the full story and best memories in person! I can certainly go on and on! Most importantly, this union is all by God's grace. Without our individual relationships with God, our relationship together would not have been as fruitful or satisfying as it is today. We owe our all to him.
