When Faith walked into the Dom6D break room on June 5th, 2019 for her first day as an intern at Mayo and Mike said Are you Faith? we had no idea it would be the beginning of our unique journey that got us to this day. For the next few months, Mike trained Faith and we worked together caring for patients while all of our coworkers, patients and friends tried to set us up. Faith moved back to Maine, never expecting to return to Mayo, and Mike continued working in Minnesota. We kept in contact while living across the country from each other until July 2020 when Faith moved back to Rochester. A few days after moving back, Mike explained to Faith who God is and opened her eyes to what a relationship with God looks like and means. From that day, we grew closer to God and to each other. On October 10, Mike baptized Faith in the Zumbro River here in Rochester, symbolizing her new relationship with Christ. As our relationship with God and each other deepened, we came to the realization that we were not just good friends. Not long after we started dating we realized everyone in our life was right, we were going to end up together-we were just the last to know. Now we are excited to enter this covenant and become one under God and embark on this journey together.
