Your wedding is at a state park. Will I need a permit?
A kiosk will be set up at the state park entrance to issue permits to wedding guests. We are paying for those, so you don't need to! All you need to do is tell the employee at the kiosk that you're here for the "Thomas-Vuu" wedding, and we'll take care of it.
If you happen to have a permit already, though, more power to you. :)
Can I bring my kid(s) to the wedding?
We are reserving space for children of family members. If not family, we encourage you to find a babysitter!
Will you have items/gifts set up on the registry?
We feel that our home is already full of the items we need! Instead, we've decided our registry would be much more useful as a Honeymoon fund. So, as of now, we will not have an official registry set up--just a cash fund. This can be accessed on the Registry tab above. :)
What will the food & drink situation be?
We'll have a salad bar along with mac 'n' cheese! The protein option is chicken (+ bacon bits, because, duh), and in order to accommodate for guests with dietary restrictions, most other toppings will be separate. Get ready to be creative!
In terms of drinks, we'll have coolers with an assortment of beverages available. We'll have waters, sodas, alcoholic seltzers, cocktails, and beers. No money is needed for any of it! If you're picky about your alcohol, though, you're welcome to bring whatever you like. The venue is BYOB. :)
I'm an agenda-oriented person, so I'm curious: What's the timeline?
Our ceremony starts at 4:00, and we plan for it to be short and sweet. Cocktail hour will begin right after, during which you're welcome to mill about, treat yourselves to chips and salsa, and/or do the Thomas-Vuu Trivia Crossword!
At around 5:00, the wedding party will return from photos. We'll do a gradual release for dinner. Cake-cutting and toasts are scheduled for around 6:00, after which we'll have PLENTY of time to dance until it's time to go home.
Mahoney's quiet hours begin at 10:00, so we'll be closing out a little before then. No need to shift bedtimes for us. ;)
What should I wear?
We put "semi-formal" as our target attire. The goal is that you wear something nice that makes you feel wonderful! Dresses or dress pants (khakis, slacks) are the vision, but we're not picky people. Wear what makes you comfortable. (Just... maybe not your pair of basketball shorts from 2012.)
The only aspect of attire that we have a strong opinion on is shoes. We're bringing in a live band, and we hope everyone who's willing and able comes ready to dance! Either bring shoes you can dance in, or plan to Electric Slide with bare feet. Whatever you prefer. :)
