Our Wedding

It all began in the summer of 2020. Faith was waitressing at Barefoot, and Caleb was bartending at Captains. After Faith's shifts ended, she would head over to Captain's with her friends for a drink. That is where Faith and Caleb met. What started as casual conversations and shared glances from across the bar soon turned into something more. There was an ease between us, a spark that neither of us could quite ignore, and before long, those summer nights became a favorite part of every day. As the season came to an end, life began to pull us in different directions. Faith returned to Iowa City, and Caleb went back to Kirksville. We decided to go our separate ways, thinking maybe our story had run its course. As the weeks passed, it became clear that something was missing. No matter the distance, no matter the distractions, neither one of us could shake the feeling that we were meant to find our way back to each other. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that couldn't have been truer for us. By the time the leaves began to change, we knew our story was only just beginning. What started as a summer connection quickly turned into something deeper. We had begun building a love built on friendship, laughter, and a shared sense of home that has carried us through every season since. From summer nights at Captains to planning our forever, every step has felt like it was leading us right here. It has led us to the life we are so excited to continue building together.
