The Dress Code

the timing
The wedding will begin promptly at 5pm, and is expected to last until 11pm. Due to the nature of the venue, these timings are not flexible, so please make sure you arrive on time!
RSVPing
You can RSVP for yourself (and your whole party) through the RSVP section of this website. Kindly RSVP whether you will be attending or not. Please do this before November 18th 2025. If your situation changes after that date, please reach out to us!

The username, Min Al Qahira Met Liefde, reflects our relationship. "Min Al Qahira" means "From Cairo" in Arabic, while "Met Liefde" means "With Love" in Dutch. Thus, our wedding; From Cairo, with love. We can't wait to share it with you!
Photos and videos
Once we have received the pictures and videos from our vendors, they will go up on this website!
Closer to the wedding date, we will also arrange a way for our guests to easily share the photos and videos they take during the day. Stay tuned!
Dietary Requirements
There will be both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available at the wedding. If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, please let us know in advance. We’re happy to accommodate any medically necessary restrictions!
REACHING THE VENUE
The Citadel is located in the heart of Historic Cairo. it is also situated near Downtown Cairo, which is known for its heavy and unpredictable traffic, particularly in the evenings.
We strongly recommend leaving with ample time to spare and planning to arrive slightly early to ensure a smooth start.
Pre-Wedding Events
For the few days before the wedding, we have a program in mind for our international guests, including some sight-seeing as well as some cultural pre-wedding events. This program is tentative at the moment. Once it is finalized, a formal itinerary and relevant invites will be shared!
hotel recommendations
Many of our international guests are staying at The Hilton Grand Nile, so that is our primary recommendation.
However, in case you would like to stay somewhere else, we’ve curated a list of hotels for a range of budgets, all located within reasonable distance of the Citadel.
Luxury hotels include: Four Seasons at Nile Plaza, Kempinski Nile Hotel. Mid-Range hotels include: Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir, Museum and Nile View Hotel. Budget-Friendly hotels include: Osiris Hostels, Tahrir Plaza Suites.
We suggest booking early, as December is a popular time to visit Cairo. If you need any assistance in finding or booking accommodation, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Things to do during your stay
Cairo is a beautiful city with a lot to offer! You can visit historical sites such as the pyramids of Giza, tour the museums of Egyptian and international history, get a slice of local life at Khan el Khalili market, and lots more. Egyptian cuisine also has tons of variety, so be sure to try some!
Beyond that, we of course will be planning an itinerary for our guests! Once you have booked your stay, please let us know your arrival and departure dates and if there's anything specific you'd like to do in the city. We're happy to help you plan some or all of your time in Cairo, and we'd love for you to join us at some pre-wedding events!
