Farren Paige & Luke

March 28, 2026 • Scottsboro, AL

Luke and Farren Paige first met during their time at Florida College in 2020. Farren Paige was a freshman, and Luke was a junior. Though they hadn't yet met, Farren Paige had heard Luke’s name from a few familiar faces—one being her roommate, a fellow Texan who knew him from camp, and another being one of Luke’s own roommates, affectionately known as Porkchop.
One evening, fate stepped in when both happened to attend a campus soccer game. Across the field, Farren Paige noticed Luke wearing a Johnny’s Barbecue t-shirt—a local Cullman, AL favorite. Curious, she approached him and asked, “Are you from Cullman?” With a grin, he replied, “No, I’m from Texas.” Surprised, she asked how he knew of Johnny’s, a place her family often visited during lake trips. Luke explained that his mother was from Cullman, and they had spent many summers visiting there. That small spark of connection lingered.
At the time, they were both seeing other people, but their story was just beginning. Over Christmas break, they stayed in touch, texting and talking more frequently. When the spring semester began, Luke asked Farren Paige out on a date. To his surprise, she declined. But Luke was persistent, and soon after, she said yes.
Not long into their relationship, Luke told his mom he was dating a girl from Alabama. After a bit of digging, she exclaimed, “You didn’t tell me she was a Chappell!” Luke's mom had grown up attending church in Cullman with Farren Paige’s great-grandmom and was well acquainted with her family.
From that moment, everything seemed to fall into place. What began with a t-shirt and a shared hometown connection has led us here—to a celebration of love, family, and God’s perfect timing.
