Who could've imagined a girl raised deep in the heart of Texas would meet a baller from the Midwest living in the Sunshine State? There's no way even we could've predicted it! Let's get the obvious part out of the way... neither Farron or Colleen had fully "come out" and introduced a significant other of the same gender to their family. It was while they were both finding their footprint in this sandy place that a love so undeniable broke the barrier.

Farron and Colleen were both attending a fundraiser for a non-profit organization called Girls on the Run. The group strives to build relationships with at-risk girls in local schools and train with them to compete in a 5K race. But at that social event they actually started the marathon of their lives. Maybe it was an inviting smile, a special look in the eyes, (some may say the glasses of Prosecco), that led these two unlikely partners to share their first laughs, phone numbers and a brief moment in each other's arms for a hug goodnight.

It'd be magical if they ran into the sunset from that first night, but Farron may have kicked up some dust and Colleen may have scuffed the court... and that's just how this story really goes. Now love and faith are like where the water meets the sand, and that's where they'll be holding hands saying I do.
