Our love story starts in the depths of the internet, sometime in the middle of May of 2016. Kyle swiped right and so did Faryn. We spent some time chatting on Tinder about hockey, jet skis, boats and lake life (go figure) before exchanging numbers and finally going on our first date. Our first date was rollerblading around Medicine Lake and finished with a DQ Blizzard watching the sunset over the lake(awwwwww). I (Faryn) left the first date thinking he was never going to talk to me again (nervous word vomit is real) and Kyle left thinking I was cute but talked a lot. We made it “official” in August of 2016 and continued to adventure our way through life. We’ve spent countless hours on the lake, jet skiing, surfing, hanging out, and sunset cruising with some amazing friends. Kyle took me WAY Up North and gave me my first Lake of The Woods experience, and I got to introduce him to the wonders of Auger family Cabin Games. On an amazing day in January 2019, we decided to skate across a very frozen and snow-less Lake Minnetonka with two of our great friends (Kraig and Lizzie). Unknown to me, Kyle had already told Kraig and Lizzie he was going to propose on the ice. In the middle of the lake on a day I will never forget, I turned around to find Kyle on one knee, and the rest as they say, is history.
