Attire: Summer Cocktail We know that it is going to be very hot in the North Carolina summer. Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors with air conditioning, with some outdoor options as well. We want our guests to feel comfortable and ready to boogie, so dress accordingly!

Our Wedding

A tale as old as time, 2 star crossed lovers match on the dating app that is "meant to be deleted." Faye was very impressed with how amazingly cool Logan looked on his dating profile, as evidenced by a photo of Logan eating a McDonalds ice cream cone while wearing a McDonalds shirt. Logan was enticed by Faye's sense of humor and her love of Harry Potter and Uno. And for those wondering, it was Logan who first sent Faye a message.

The Match Made in Heaven (Hinge)

After texting back and forth for a while, Faye bravely asked Logan if he would want to go out on a date. They met at a local beer garden in Charlotte. Logan was taken aback by Faye's smile and remembers how easy it was to talk to her. He loved that she was very driven in her career and also how close she was with her family. Faye was very impressed by Logan's confidence in his bright pink polo shirt, it made quite a fashion statement. She soon realized that Logan was also as nervous as she was, and immediately felt more comfortable around him. She loved how he talked about his family, his love for food and his passion for sports. The second date is where Logan really won Faye's heart, where she was able to see how good of a minigolfer he was.

The First Date

Faye and Logan spent the next two years and a bit getting to know each other more and spending a lot of time together. They went on dates that varied from ice skating, movies, wine and paint classes, and Faye's absolute favorite, watching UNC basketball games. Faye and Logan also were able to go on trips with each others families which started to build the foundation for the future to come. As time went on it was clear that Faye could handle Logan's childish jokes and Logan could put up with Faye's terrible trivia knowledge.

The First and Second Year

Finally, the time came for Faye and Logan to take the next step in their relationship. After careful planning without Faye knowing, Logan was able to orchestrate the plan for the engagement. The cover story is that they were meeting friends (shoutout to Kim and Keaton) for a drink and then going out to dinner afterwards. Coincidentally, the drink was at the place of their first date. While there Logan proposed and Faye surprisingly said yes (shoutout to Jess and Austin for taking pictures). After the proposal, they headed over to a dinner spot where both of the families were waiting for another surprise. Then finally, after dinner they went back to the famous 1523 townhouse and close friends were there for the last surprise. It was a wonderful evening and went as smoothly as Logan hoped it could have. Faye and Logan were so thankful to be able to share the moments with such amazing people.

The Engagement

Faye and Logan are so excited to be able to celebrate their marriage with all of you. They want to thank everyone for playing such an important role in their lives and cannot wait to see you all in Wilmington!

Hotel Accommodations

We recommend staying in the downtown Wilmington area, as it is most convenient to get to the ceremony and reception. The hotel room blocks below are all within 1 mile of the ceremony and reception venues. We were able to get room blocks set up for check in on Friday August 22nd and check out on Sunday August 24th. If you would like to stay for a different amount of time please contact the hotels directly and use the group code to book. If you would prefer to stay closer to the beach, Wrightsville beach is about a 20 minute drive from downtown and there are a lots of other accommodation options there as well. Wilmington is a very popular beach town and will be busy during the summer months. We highly recommend booking accommodations early, while there are still plenty of available options. If you would prefer to not stay in a hotel there are tons of great Airbnb and VRBO options in the area too!

This beach is very popular during the summertime so make sure to arrive early to get a good parking spot!

Wrightsville Beach

Carolina beach has more parking available than Wrightsville beach and where Faye and Logan usually go for a beach day. Check out the boardwalk and Ocean Grill and Tiki bar while you are there!

The historic downtown area has many different restaurants, bars, and shopping. For those with a sweet tooth, visit Kilwins and get a chocolate sea salt caramel ice cream cone (obviously waffle cone)
