Walk the wall!
It is around 35 euros per person, however, we would suggest you get a Dubrovnik Pass. The cost for a 3 day pass is 33 euro, or 55 euro for a week. This includes free bus passes, city walls, dubrovnik national history museum and many more sights. It is definitely worth it!
When walking the city walls, you will see once in a lifetime panoramic views of the city as well as the Adriatic Sea. Please note that there are a lot of stairs and it can be quite warm in August. It is best to walk the wall early morning or late afternoon. You will find the website for the Dubrovnik pass below.
Lokrum is the most beautiful island, just a 10-minute ferry from Dubrovnik Old Town. The journey over there is one of the most stunning across crystal clear waters and the whole island is a nature reserve. Boats depart on the hour from 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week. You can buy ferry tickets from the ticket booth marked “Lokrum Ferry” as you enter the port from the Old Town. The booth opens at 8:30 am. Tickets cost around 27 euros per person. We have listed a few reasons why you should visit Lokrum Island.
1. The most beautiful views.
2. There are peacocks around the island.
3. You can sit and take a picture of the GOT throne.
4. Visit the monastery.
5. Swim in the Lokrum Dead Sea.
We highly recommend everyone to bring snorkels and water shoes (you may find sea urchins!) whenever you are going into the sea anywhere in Croatia. The crystal clear waters are amazing, you wouldn't want to miss it!
Dubrovnik is one of Croatia’s most popular cities. Located on the border of the Adriatic Sea, this city has been listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for it’s incredible Old Town, historic 16th century stone walls, and wonderful baroque style churches. This is a city steeped in a rich heritage of architecture and culture, nowhere more than it’s stunning Old Town. The Old Town also has a range of restaurants, bars and shops.
It is a must when visiting Dubrovnik!
One of the best ways to see Dubrovnik’s Old Town is definitely from above. The Dubrovnik Cable Car station is just outside the Old Town, but the journey provides a birds-eye view of the ancient streets. However, the real highlight is when the cable car reaches the top. Visitors can look over the entire area, the red-roofed city beautifully contrasting with the expanse of the blue Adriatic. It’s particularly popular at sunset when the whole scene is bathed in a beautiful golden glow. It is 27 euro a round trip.
If you are thinking about taking the cable car, it is definitely worth dining in Restaurant Panorama. It is right next to the cable car station, at an altitude that offers a spectacular view of the Old City. Please find the website below if you would like to book a meal here. Please ensure to book this restaurant early as it is very popular and is often fully booked.
Only 2,5 kilometers distance from Dubrovnik Old Town. With a perfect setting in Uvala Lapad bay, featuring the largest beach in Dubrovnik, the modern and newly built beach resort Sunset Beach Dubrovnik is among the most appealing places in Dubrovnik, for both tourist and local people.
The Blue Cave is a unique geological formation located on the small island of Koločep, near Dubrovnik. The sun shines through a hole in the cave and reflects off the crystal-clear waters, creating an otherworldly blue light that illuminates the interior, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This stunning sight is a must-see for anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
See Dubrovnik through the skies high above the city on this thrilling Dubrovnik zipline experience from Mt. Srd (Srd Hill). You’ll race down two separate ziplines, enjoying spectacular views of Dubrovnik Old Town and the Adriatic Sea with its islands. Cost is roughly 60 euro per person.
