Our Wedding

Albert &amp; I are college sweethearts who met Freshmen year at The University at Albany. We were both part of the World of Buisness and our dorm rooms were assigned right across the hall from each other. We became friends quickly and shared the same group of friends as well. It didn't take long before we both realized we had feelings for each other. Albert officially asked me to be his girlfriend in March of our Sophmore year of college and we have been happily together ever since! Our wedding year will mark 10 years of us being together. While we were in college, we always went to our "go-to" spot, which was a picnic area right next to a pond with a beautiful fountain. Whenever we went there, we would talk for hours &amp; get to know eachother on a deeper level. Albert would always joke about one day buying the bench we would sit on &amp; have it in our back yard when we bought a house some day. Fast forward to October 3, 2024, Albert planned for us to have a weekend getaway at Albany, as we often did to reminise. We went to our spot to have some food before we checked into our hotel and that is where he got down on one knee to ask the BIG question! The park was filled with people that day, cheering for us after I said YES! The weekend getaway was only getting started...Albert planned a fun packed weekend with all of my favorite things! We went to a Sebastian Maniscalco comedy show downtown and bar hopped at a few pre-planned spots. The next day was full of all things Fall, which is my favorite time of the year, followed by dinner at a fancy restaurant. When we came back home, we stopped at one of our favorite restaurants, where my family was there to surprise me. The weekend of our engagement was truly a fairytale. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to marry my best friend.

When booking your rooms, be sure to request the Rodriguez &amp; Canal Wedding group rate in order to receive the discount. Discounted rooms will be availble to book until 1/18/2026. Courtyard Rockaway-Mount Arlington provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. This hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. A shuttle will be provided to the first 55 guests, with departure from the hotel at 4:15pm to the wedding venue. This is a first come, first serve basis. The shuttle will also return guests from the wedding venue back to the hotel.
