The ceremony and reception are indoors but cocktail hour is outdoors in the McNay courtyard.
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal attire is required.
Will there be a time gap between the ceremony and the reception?
Yes there will be about a two hour gap in between. Cocktail hour starts at 6pm at the McNay and they should allow entrance to the venue at most fifteen minutes prior to the start of cocktail hour.
Where is the best place to park and enter the McNay?
You can enter the McNay grounds from either of the two entrances and will want to park in the lot farthest to the left and closest to the “mansion” entrance. There are two entrances to the McNay but you will enter through the mansion entrance which will lead to the courtyard. There is also a driveway that guest can be dropped off at close to the mansion entrance if needed. The walkway from the parking lot is at an incline and there are stairs.
Will there be access to the museum during cocktail hour or the reception?
Yes a small section of the museum will be open to guest during cocktail hour.
What type of food will be served?
Hors d’oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour and there will be a seated dinner with stuffed chicken, vegetables and scalloped potatoes. Children will be served chicken tenders with mash potatoes and mac n’ cheese.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes. There will be a selection of beer, wine, and liquor.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one or my children?
No. Only those individuals listed under your RSVP.
