Our Wedding

Felipe and Micaela met when they both traveled to Nashville during the 2020 covid pandemic to visit friends and family. They quickly connected on common interests like traveling, Dominic Fike, and The University of Kentucky. August 13th, 2020 Felipe asked Micaela to be his girlfriend after visiting Austin, Texas to see her. They decided to try long distance while Micaela finished her education at The University of Houston and Felipe continued his career in Nashville. One year later Felipe packed up and relocated to Houston for his career while Micaela began her teaching career. They traveled to Belem, Brasil together over the Summer of 2023 so Felipe could introduce Micaela to his family. The atmosphere, culture, beauty, and food took her by surprise and she fell in love with the country where Felipe feels most at home. This past year they took on the adventure of moving to New Braunfels, Texas for Felipes career(once again.) On July 26th, 2024 Felipe proposed while hiking Rialto Beach in Washington, with two recently married friends, Clint and Rachael. Much to Micaela’s surprise, after saying yes, their sisters, Amanda and Isabella, were hiding in the bushes behind them. Over the past four and a half years together, they have traveled to Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Georgia, Arkansas and many other places! They have moved states, cities, and gone through many challenges, but it has only made them stronger as a couple. They continue to learn, and grow together everyday. They cannot wait to take on their next adventure, as bride and groom in Rio, surrounded by the people they love the most!
