Who would have thought that a single friend request would turn into something so amazing?

Jim and Fhranzes became a couple 8 years ago, way back in 2016. There was no dating app like Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge but there was Facebook. Their story began when Fhranzes posted a picture with her friend, Vanessa on Facebook and Jim liked it and he added Fhranzes. She then messaged Jim asking, “Do I know you?” then they started chatting back and forth however during that time, Fhranzes had zero interest in Jim so eventually they stopped talking… During that time, they were only 16 years old high schoolers. One time, Jim even tried to impress Fhranzes by going into Hollister (where she worked part time) and he paid for her sister, Poala’s clothes but sadly Fhranzes was still unimpressed.

Fast forward to 4 years later, they reconnected again and Fhranzes finally had the courage to meet up with Jim at Shoreline Community College parking lot. Prior to that first meeting, Jim has been trying to hangout with Fhranzes several times but Fhranzes keeps flaking last minute (she likes to play hard to get). Coincidentally, they both went to Shoreline CC but they never met up there. When Fhranzes and Jim finally met, Jim gave Fhranzes the BEST hug she’s ever gotten from someone and she even got butterflies. They then decided to get some Boba and their first date was at Rain Cafe. Their first date went amazing! They got to know each other on a deeper level, there was an instant connection between the two. Initially, Fhranzes didn't expect much from meeting Jim because she just expected a “summer fling” nothing too serious, she needed to focus on her studies because her mom told her “Anak, no boyprend ha, finish your school first”. Three months later of hanging out, Fhranzes finally said YES to Jim to be his girlfriend.

Looking back at their story, they met when they were just 16 years old but they were not destined to date yet and God made a way for them to reconnect again at the right time. Over the past 8 years, Jim and Fhranzes grew and matured together and their relationship was not easy, just like other couples they encountered many ups and downs but what’s important is that they will always choose each other everyday.
