Things to Do

Eddie + Fi's Favourite Things (Toowoomba Edition)

Eat & Drink!

Coffee

- Ground Up - a fun little laneway spot off the main drag. Stocks The Bakers Duck pastries.

- Banter - a tiny little hole in the wall in the city. Great for a takeaway, exhibits small collections from local artists.

- Sage & Butler - if you’re in the vicinity of Queens Park, this is a lovely spot with great coffee.

- Six of One Coffee Roasters - a cute cafe tucked within an old factory in the town centre with a delicious coffee flight

Brunch

- The Bakers Duck - a Toowoomba institution, with truly exceptional pastries. The strawberry cheesecake croissant and pork and fennel sausage roll are absolute classics, and the almond croissant is one of the best in the world. Coffee is also exceptional!

- The Burrow - the breakfast burger with onion jam always hits the spot.

- Cafe Valetta and Urban Grounds - two gorgeous park-side cafes with decent food.

Dinner

- Kocu - a no-frills korean restaurant from our uni days. Great bibimbap and banging korean fried chicken. Grab a few bottles of soju to share for the real experience!

- Sofra is a Toowoomba institution, a turkish restaurant that's tasty and welcoming.

- Enjoy a woodfired pizza from Picolo Papa!

- There’s a plethora of pub feeds in Toowoomba - from casual to fancy, sample the fare at the Spotted Cow, Fitzy’s or George Banks.

- In need of a late-night feed? El Attar will always hold a special place in our hearts as the best late-night kebab in town.

Bars

- Local institutions like the Spotted Cow and Fitzy’s will always hit the spot for classic pub vibes.

- George Banks has a gorgeous rooftop area that is lovely for sunset.

- Sante cocktail bar is a tiny, intimate cocktail spot. There's limited seating, but if you get a table it's a beautiful vibe.

- Uva wine bar and Cork and Lever are two newer wine bars, great spots to enjoy some tasty vino.

- Mouse Proof brewery is a local spot tucked amongst the warehouses, a small local brewery with an eclectic interior.

- If you're brave - hit up the Cube for karaoke night or the terrifying light up head at the backroom dancefloor!

Fancy some beautiful scenery or a little walk?

We always recommend a stop off at Picnic point as you arrive in Toowoomba for a great view down the range!

If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Tabletop (Meewah) mountain hike. A steep scrabble up the rockface finishes the ~45min hike, so wear sturdy shoes, take some water, leave your fear of heights behind and enjoy the victorious satisfaction when you hit the summit!

Alternately, there's a much more level path that leaves from the eastern end of South St and connects up to Picnic Point, offering gorgeous views along the way (with significantly reduced fear of death/falling/rock scrabbling).

And of course, Laurel Bank and Queen’s Park are beautiful spots to enjoy the Toowoomba gardens.
