Whit and Fains relationship began in high school at Heritage High School, where they both played varsity sports—Whit in football and baseball, and Fain in soccer. Despite knowing each other through mutual friends and sitting near each other in the cafeteria, it took a year for Whit to finally talk to Fain. Their first hangout was at a men’s soccer game at their high school, which led to a dinner date and the start of their relationship.


They dated throughout high school and continued their relationship even when Fain went off to college to play Division 1 soccer at Ole Miss, maintaining a long-distance relationship while Whit completed high school. After his graduation, Whit went on to play football at UNC Charlotte. Whit and Fain stayed together as they both pursued their college sports and academics.


Two years into college, Whit suffered an injury that ended his football career. He then decided to pursue his passion for music and entrepreneurship. Around the same time, Fain transferred to play soccer at High Point University. This brought them closer geographically, as they were now within a two-hour drive from one another!


Whit and Fain continued dating through the rest of Fain’s college years and celebrated her graduation together. Now, they are embarking on a new chapter by moving to Calabasas, near Los Angeles. There, Fain will pursue her career in medical device sales, while Whit will follow his passion for music and tech startups, both excited for the future and the opportunities that lie ahead.
