On May 25, 2024 he proposed at the Jacksonville botanical gardens at 6:21 pm. When we arrived there it began to rain some, though it was not suppose to. We decided to walk around the garden. It was beautiful and the light rain was just enough to make it magical. Out friends Salina, Sarina, and Simone were there with us for the special moment. As the rain started to simmer down we approached a small overlook to view the pond. We stopped to look for alligators and take photos. Forest asked Simone to "get a photo" of me and him, and that's when Forest got down on one knee and proposed. Of course I said yes! We proceeded through the rainy gardens happily. At that point I was still in shock. The boys already had dinner plans, which was still a big surprise to us girlies. On the way to dinner, we stopped by the store and the boys ran in and gathered a few surprise drinks and we went to Simone's family house where we had an Italian cooking class with his family. We cooked up homemade gnocchi; which we made with lots of fun cooking tools; a side salad, and shared a toast with our family and friends with our Aperol Spritz in hand. We ended the night with some Shania Twain and played in the pool and hot tub.
