There is ample car parking on site for everyone, with clear signage at the venue, however please keep the front of the building clear of cars for photographs.

All catering is taken care of by our chosen caterers who will take care of all your meals throughout your stay. There isn’t a ‘restaurant’ or ‘café’ on-site.

The venue has its own ‘Gryffin’ Bar, which is well stocked and reasonably priced, the Thicket team will be waiting to serve you with your favour tipple! Espresso Martini anyone?

We have chosen to make our special day an Adult-only occasion. We hope that you enjoy our wedding celebration and the chance to let your hair down! Exceptions will be made for newborns, so please speak to us if you have a little one to think about.

Whilst we'd love to accommodate everyone, we have finalised the guest list and don't have extra spaces for plus-ones. If a plus-one has been extended to you, their name will be alongside yours on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding.

We know you'll all be eager to capture the moment we say 'I do', however we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phone or camera during the Wedding ceremony. There will be a professional photographer & videographer who will capture the event.

Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel & Soap, Hair Dryer, Bath Sheets, Hand Towels, and Face Cloths will be available in every bedroom for those of you staying at the venue.

Bespoke pantries are scattered throughout the building for you to access tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit teas and some yummy treats. If we lose Terry, he'll be with the Tunnocks Teacakes!

There is a dedicated room in the house for ironing and also anyone who may need to fix a minor wardrobe malfunction. Every coloured thread, and needles can be found in this quaint room.

Whilst there are no charging points at the venue itself, there are locations nearby, close to York city centre.

There is Wi-Fi throughout Thicket Priory. We do suggest turning on Wi-Fi calling for better connectivity as the 4G/5G in the countryside isn’t the strongest.
