Francesca’s best friend (and bridesmaid), Fern was our match maker. She encouraged Fran to add Hayden on facebook to which he replied “Thanks for the add, do I know you?” After messages were sent back and forth, the couple met for the first time a few days later in Chicago Rock up Hanley.

Their first date at The Birches Head Hotel was memorable for them both. Fran remembers Hayden singing atomic kittens’ eternal flame and Hayden remembers the Holland vs Spain World Cup match.

The couple became official on 29.07.2014. Hayden asked Fran to be his girlfriend via text whilst simultaneously setting his relationship status to ‘in a relationship’.

We love the confidence.

Many years, incredible memories and a global pandemic later, Hayden and Fran brought their first house. With the help of many of you gorgeous people we fully renovated it and made it a home. (Thank you again).

Hayden proposed to Fran in Cavtat, Croatia on 20th June 2023. The whole holiday and proposal were nothing short of perfect with the ring of Fran’s dreams. She cried and said “f*** off, no” which obviously meant ‘absolutely yes.’

It’s finally happening! Here we are, about to get married.

This beautiful love story began 11 years ago and now it’s time for the next chapter to begin as we become husband and wife. We can’t wait to celebrate with you as we become the new Mr & Mrs Smith.
